FAQ
The questions people actually ask.
Two of these say we have not decided yet, which is the honest answer and better than a policy made up on a website.
What percentage do I actually keep?
- It depends on what the card sells for, and your share rises with the sale price, because the cost of selling a card barely moves whether it is worth five dollars or five hundred. Postage pulls the other way in the middle of the range, since a dearer card needs a mailer that costs about six times what an envelope does. Rather than quote one number that would be wrong for half a collection, we look at what you actually have and send you the split for it in writing before anything is posted to us.
Is there a fee if my card does not sell?
- Yes. The $1.99 listing fee is charged per card whether it sells or not, and a lot is $2.99 on the same basis, because the scanning, pricing, photographing and listing all happen either way.
What if my card is worth less than $5?
- It goes into a bulk lot rather than its own listing. Lots run 10 to 15 cards and we build them, so nothing gets turned away just for being inexpensive on its own.
How fast do I get paid once my card sells?
- Within 3 business days of eBay releasing the funds to us. That is measured from when the money reaches us rather than from the moment the card sells, because eBay holds payment on every sale until delivery is confirmed and that hold runs on their timeline.
Who pays to ship my cards to you?
- You do. We would suggest tracking, and insuring anything over $100, since that leg of the trip is the one part neither of us can see.
What happens once my cards arrive?
- The risk becomes ours the moment they land, and within 2 business days we send you a list of everything that arrived, so you know exactly what we are working with.
Do you grade or verify the condition of my cards?
- No. We do not tell you or a buyer that a card is a particular grade or condition unless that came from an actual inspection on record, and for a graded slab we list what the grading company recorded rather than making our own call. What goes in a listing is what is visible in the photos.
Where do my cards actually sell?
- On eBay. Every sale runs through their system, so you can see the real sale price yourself rather than taking our word for it.
Can I sell my cards to you instead of consigning them?
- Yes, through the outright route. It gets you cash without waiting on a sale, and it usually comes to less than consigning would pay, so we would point most people at consigning first if they can wait.
What happens if my card never sells?
- We have not settled this in writing yet, meaning how long we hold an unsold card before repricing it, rolling it into a lot or sending it back. Rather than tell you a timeline we have not committed to, we would rather say so plainly and come back to you once it is written down.
Can I ask for a card back before it sells?
- This is the other one we have not settled in writing yet. Ask us and we will work it out with you, and the answer will go on this page once it is a written policy rather than a case by case conversation.

A rough idea is enough to get started, so you do not need to list every card or know what anything is worth, and we will come back to you with what we can do.
